Main Responsibilities
As a CE refuse truck driver, you will be responsible for the safe and professional operation of heavy-duty refuse collection vehicles during night shifts.
Your duties will include:
- Driving assigned collection and transport routes in compliance with German traffic regulations
- Following routes using GPS or onboard navigation systems
- Operating refuse collection vehicles and their specialist equipment
- Using hydraulic systems, automated lifting arms and compactors safely
- Carrying out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Checking brakes, lights, tyres and fluid levels
- Completing daily vehicle inspection and maintenance reports
- Coordinating with refuse loaders to support efficient waste collection
- Reporting operational or service-related issues to dispatch
- Communicating professionally with customers and members of the public
- Transporting collected waste to landfills, transfer stations or recycling facilities
- Unloading collected materials according to site procedures and safety regulations
- Keeping the assigned vehicle clean and reporting technical faults promptly
- Following workplace health, safety and environmental procedures
Candidate Requirements
